Riding on the Jeep’s success

If any vehicle could be said to have won the Second World War, you’d probably have said the Jeep. That ubiquitous little General Purpose runabout (hence GP, which became Jeep) went everywhere, carrying officers and men over all terrain, reliably and efficiently. The Jeep later became a brand name belonging to Chrysler, and it’s still in use as a more modern, luxury 4×4. Or “sports utility vehicle” (SUV) as the Americans call them. Who missed the Valentine’s Day deadline?

In a spirit of love, and – who knows – perhaps inspired by Saatchi & Saatchi’s “Lovemark” concept, we set February 14 as the deadline for the return of questionnaires and submissions for the AdReview Awards and the AdReview agency tables. St Valentine’s Day.
But I’m not naïve. I’ve been preparing tables of the country’s leading ad agencies for 28 years, and I know that when it comes to deadlines, ad agencies are worse than journalists. I didn’t expect all the returns in on the due date. Read More→
